NEW / PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS
We are looking forward to the 2020/21 season, but in view of the ongoing COVID-19 situation, it is currently uncertain which activities will be able to re-start when. The safety and the health of all players and coaches and their families is of course our highest priority. The RFU has produced a Road Map for a return to rugby. This has a number of phases where certain permitted rugby activities are progressively broadened in steps, linked to the level of permitted contact between players and to national health guidelines, with the final step being a return to competitive matches and festivals.
The new 2020/21 minis and juniors season starts on the weekend of 5th/6th September. We hope to be able to confirm soon that minis and juniors age groups will be able to start some limited rugby activities that weekend, in line with the Road Map, but with a return to full age group rugby, including matches etc, later in the season. We will update this site as more information becomes available over the summer.
Registration of minis and juniors for the new season will commence when we have more clarity on all this, and links will then be provided on this page to the new season registration forms.

Membership subscriptions for the remainder of the 2020/21 season will be advised later, in view of the present uncertainties around the return to play.
Membership subs are reduced for players in the Under 5 and Under 6 age groups and for female players.
For prospective members, either those new to rugby or those who are keen to change club, we have a trial membership valid for 2 training sessions for you and your child to confirm that you are both keen to continue playing rugby at Barnes. Membership subs at the applicable rate will be due after the trial period has completed. It is essential that you complete our registration form BEFORE your child steps onto the pitch.
Membership Subs cover all rugby-related costs including pitch hire, rugby balls, tackle pads and other technical kit, entry fees to all tournaments (most clubs make an additional charge), external coaches, the Return 2 Play concussion monitoring service, and all the hot dogs we eat after training. Membership Subs also entitle the member to a discount on club kit purchased from our kit shops and drinks purchased at the clubhouse bar.
For players who have exceptional financial or personal circumstances that may prevent them from playing rugby at Barnes, we have an Exceptional Circumstances Scheme to reduce or waive any membership subs due. Please contact Charles Roberts, the scheme administrator, if you would like to take advantage of the scheme. All queries regarding the Exceptional Circumstances Scheme are treated in the strictest of confidence.
